Demo to Churchville Board of Education
Our Board of Education and the school Superintendent are some of our biggest supporters. We have been requested to report to the Board each year at a meeting after we return from Atlanta. We presented them with team t-shirts and framed team photos last year. The photo was enlarged to poster size and hung in the Administration building near the board room. We were also lucky enough to be joined by the FLL team we mentored that went to the world Championship after winning the finals at the University of Rochester. The school allows us to use the Technology wing and has given us our own room to operate out of
Intermediate School Fun Night Demo
The school is now called the Middle school but we have done numerous years of demonstrations for the 5th-8th grade Fun Night. There is dancing, food, sporting events and large balloon games like life-size foosball throughout the school. We set up in one of the larger size classrooms and demonstrate the FRC® robots. It’s a popular room and always draws a crowd.

President’s Circle Video
In 2007 we scripted and taped a Public Service Announcement video about FIRST® and our team. Channel 13 WHAM played our video numerous times. We were honored to be picked as one of the few for the Presidents Circle Award. We were equally as honored to receive it again in 2008. Our videos are on Youtube.
Project Lead The Way Demo for Teachers
This year we showcased our robot to teachers that were attending the local Project Lead The Way courses. We were able to get new teachers from schools in the North Eastern United States exposed to FIRST and interested in creating their own team.

Relay for Life
Team 340 has members who participate yearly in the overnight for Relay for Life to help raise money and awareness for Cancer. Teams take turns running/walking and sleeping.

Rochester Museum and Science Center Demo
2007 was our third year participating in the Rochester Museum and Science Center’s Robotics Summer camp. We allowed the campers to operate our robot, letting them know about FIRST and encouraging them to start their own FLL team, sowing the seeds for the explosion of FLL teams in the Rochester area.
