FRC® is a combination of sport and the rigors of science and technology, for teams of 25 students or more in grades 9 through 12 (ages 15 to 18). With limited resources, a strict set of rules, and time limits, the students are challeneged to raise funds, design a team “brand”, hone teamwork skills, build, and program robots to compete against a field of competitors to perform a certain task. For a student it is as close to “real-world engineering” as they can get until they leave High School. Each team is assisted by volunteer professional mentors that give their time and talents to aid each team in their success.

FRC® is also the competition that Team 340 participates in each year.
